18 months of Sass

Rowyn had her 18 month well check up last week. It was pretty rough. She knew exactly where she was the second we laid her down on the scale (Why can't they do the big girl scale on her now???). She just kept screaming "All done! All done! All dooooone!" The. Whole. Hour. It was awesome. : /

Other than it being pretty traumatic for the both of us, we got some great stats! I honestly don't put too much faith in the growth charts because 1) She was EBF until she was 6 months old, and is still nursing at 18 months. Yeah...I never thought we would make it this long. 2.)The charts are way out of date, but it's still fun to see where we are on the numbers.

Rowyn weighed in at 21.7 lbs which put her in the 10th percentile. She has NEVER been that high. She also was 32"(after measuring her twice as always, because the nurse doesn't understand I can only do so much to hold her still. She is FEISTY!)  which puts her in the 20th percentile. Definitely never seen that number either. She holds steady in the 70th percentile for head circumference, which we like to think holds her really big smart brains. That or she just got her big head from her Daddy.

Rowyn is a blabbing machine. She will have a full blown conversation with you and her "babies" ,but usually I haven't the slightest as to what she is saying. She does have about 30+ words that she can say, and 20+ signs. Her pedi was happy with that, plus he said with the sign language and talking it would help decrease her frustration/terrible two attitude.

Home girl could eat all the fruit in the world if we let her, but wont touch a lot of veggies with a 10 ft pole. She loves veggie chips, kale, and the occasional green bean and cherry tomato. Otherwise I have to get sneaky with a smoothie or something. :)

Since her croup episode she somehow got really scared of her crib. I'm guessing she associated the not breathing and being scared to the crib itself. She was panicking every time I would take her in there to nap but not to go to bed a night, so we're back to co-napping again which I love. (The co part as much as the opportunity to sleep.) In the morning she wakes up SCREAMING and when I go in to see if I can calm her down to put her down, she is literally shaking and climbs me like a monkey. So more snuggles it is. :)

She and Foofa are still BFFs and even Muno gets to join in the fun. She loves to pretend like they "fall down" throws them  and rushes up to them and picks them up swiftly, pulls them to her chest and rocks them and pats them. She will be an amazing Mommy one day. She loves to play chase and Hide n' Seek with her Daddy & I too. It is HILARIOUS!

She is so loving. She randomly loves to come up and hug us and give kisses which is finished off with the " MUAH!" sound. Yeah. I die. Every. Time. We are so lucky to have her in our lives. We would do absolutely anything for her. I still can't believe she is 18 months old. CRAZY!

I hope you guys are having a great week. TBoff is off for two days and we are pretty excited!! Here's hoping Santa isn't too scary.

Lots of Love,
The Boffs
